This year, the gallery’s annual fundraiser is transformed into Peel Region’s most exciting art party of the season. Make your mark with a red dot – and open up the opportunity for arts and culture in Mississauga!

This year, Make Your Mark! features a carefully curated selection of original work from nationally known, regional and emerging artists. The AGM’s 12th Annual Auction includes artworks by Maria Bida Albulet, Avantika Bawa, Jason Brown, Susan Clark, Karen Darling, Benjamin Freedman, Toni Hafkenscheid, Libby Hague, Warren Hoyano, Joshua Jensen-Nagle, Lila Lewis Irving, Morris Lum, Oliver Pauk, Ed Pien, Sarah Sands Phillips, Abraham Anghik Ruben, Rena Sava, Michael Vickers, Chih-Chien Wang, and many more.

The Auction will be opened with remarks by Mayor Bonnie Crombie and hosted by prominent TV personality Randy Persaud. Proceeds from the auction go directly back into the community, through exhibitions, artist projects and workshops, youth education and community-based programmes. The past few years have resulted in record breaking attendance numbers at the AGM. Show your support towards the future of arts and culture in Mississauga by supporting the momentum of the gallery.

New this year, the Art Gallery of Mississauga will be partnering with Paddle8.

Paddle8 is a New York based auction house specializing in auctions of art and design with non-profits on benefit auctions, offering collectors the chance to bid on carefully sourced works. To date, Paddle8 has partnered with over 200 non-profit organizations worldwide to present their benefit auctions online, dramatically expanding the audience of supporters and fundraising results for each auction.

All works in the AGM’s 12th Annual Art Auction will be available for viewing and bidding online. Advance bidding will begin online through Paddle8 from:

              APRIL 8 – APRIL 23, 12:00 PM, EST

All bids from the Paddle8 auction period will be transferred over to the Live Auction event. A reserve bid may be placed on Paddle8.

Each ticket serves as a $75.00 voucher redeemable for a Live Auction item or piece of art.

See the talent that exists right in your own backyard! Join the AGM for a tour of the studios of notable regional artists Robin Hollingdrake, Eileen Menzel and Lila Lewis Irving.

Meet at the AGM, 300 City Centre Dr. Bus departs at 12 PM and returns to the AGM around 3:30 PM.

Special screening of this documentary about a seemingly ordinary New York couple, Herb and Dorothy Vogel, who filled their humble one-bedroom New York apartment with a world class contemporary art collection and who in 2008, chose to donate 2500 works of art to 50 institutions in the United States.

The AGM will be screening this beloved PBS series throughout the preview weekend. Renowned art historian Sister Wendy Beckett brings her knowledge, enthusiasm, and insight to contemporary art, making a difficult subject accessible and stimulating to all.

The Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) is a public, not-for-profit, art gallery located in the Mississauga Civic Centre, right on Celebration Square and across from Square One Mall.
