Akin River sits on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, the Métis, and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
Located at 7 Labatt Avenue, near Dundas Street East and River St, Akin River has 9 dedicated studio spaces between 35-142 square feet, the largest of which is semi-private. This location does not have a Shared Membership area.
Please note that the studios are only available for tours that are scheduled in advance. We'd love to show you around, but want to make sure we're there!
Erin Candela is the studio manager at Akin's River & King Studios. She is an interdisciplinary artist who has been a member of Akin since 2016. You can view her work at erincandela.ca, and If you are interested in Akin Collective's River or King locations, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that all Akin Staff are also practicing artists, as a result we may not be able to get back to your inquiry immediately.
