All memberships include 24/7 access, wifi, utilities, insurance, shared storage facilities, restroom and kitchen access, communal workspaces and common area cleaning. Prices include HST.
Everyone is welcome at Akin regardless of skill level or experience! It is not necessary to submit a portfolio or C.V. to become an Akin member at one of our studios.

Akin Dupont
Akin Dupont is located at 1485 Dupont Street at the intersection of Dupont and Campbell Avenue. It has 56 Dedicated Memberships (i.e your own studio), spread across four separate units on the second floor. There is a ceramics focused room with a member run kiln, a shared common library and a great coffee shop on the main floor. Each unit has large windows which let in lots of natural light.

Akin Niagara is located at 289 Niagara St just south of Queen Street West. The studio is on the lower level of an apartment building in close proximity to Trinity Bellwoods Park.
Akin Niagara offers 27 Dedicated Memberships, each featuring direct window light.

Akin Richmond-Bathurst
Located at 579 Richmond Street West, Akin Richmond-Bathurst is on the third and fourth floor of a beautiful old office building, with an open-concept layout, plenty of natural light, exposed brick walls and beautiful hardwood floors throughout the space. Originally a cloak making factory, the building was constructed in 1913.
The fourth floor has 46 Dedicated Studios (i.e your own studio) and the third floor has 37 Dedicated Studios.

Inhabiting four floors of a large office building, Akin Yonge-St Clair hosts studios with large, bright windows. Located at 1 St Clair Avenue West in the heart of Midtown, Akin Yonge-St Clair is just across the street from the St Clair Subway station, in a bustling area with countless amenities.

Located at 1747 St Clair Avenue West, Akin St Clair is a street-level studio that opened in September 2017 at the intersection of St Clair and Silverthorn. It features member-run kiln access and large windows facing the street. It’s easily reached by the St Clair streetcar. Akin St Clair has 60 regular dedicated studios.

If you are looking for a completely private studio (4 walls to the ceiling and a door that closes) this is what we currently have available across all our locations:
Akin Yonge- St Clair: YON402P: 97 sqft, $497/month - Fully Private available now. This private office has bright overhead lighting and does not have any windows. Located near the shared kitchen.
WAITING LIST
Our availability changes every month. We have very limited availability of completely private studios (4 walls to the ceiling and a door that closes) and studios over 150 sqft. If we do not have any available studios that suit your needs, you can join one of our waiting lists. We have separate waiting lists for each location.

2-3 months for Dedicated studios if we do not have an available space currently that suits you.
6-12 months for Private Studios (4 walls to the ceiling and a door that closes). There are private offices at Akin Davisville, Akin Niagara, Akin Yonge-St Clair and Akin Richmond-Bathurst - any that are available will be listed above. Waiting time estimate for a private office with a window is 12 months. Waiting time estimate for a private office without a window is 1-2 months.
