Service suspensions: In congruence with recommendations from Toronto Public Health, we have made the decision to temporarily close the following services between March 15th and April 5th: All EarlyOn Centres will be closed until April 5th; All Aboriginal Head Start Programs will be closed until April 5th; All childcare will be closed until April 5th; All Daycare and school-based programming will be closed until April 5th (including before and after school supports, GED and other educational programming). Furthermore, we have temporarily suspended or limited the following programs until further notice: Culture Nights at 30 College and Scarborough will be suspended until further notice; Odel’Min Walk In Clinic will be suspended until further notice; All drop-in programs will be limited until further notice; All other programs and services will be reduced or suspended until further notice. Miziwe Biik office's are currently closed but we are now providing online services. All staff at Miziwe Biik are working remotely and are accessible by emails. We are still accepting bursaries but are asking clients to submit on March 26, 2020 between 10-12 or by emailing reception@miziwebiik.com before the deadline. Our March workshops (Food Handlers and First Aid/CPR) are currently postposed and are set to be rescheduled for early April 2020. Our TTC info session is currently cancelled but we will be going forward with a Spring job fair at the end of April. As we continue to monitor the situation and watch what other organizations/ agencies are doing we'll reflect that in our practices too.

1) The NCCT is currently closed for programming and events until April 6th 2020. All staff who are not frontline have been given the option to work from home.

4)The seniors' program will be providing essential services to existing clients using all proper precautions.
5) The youth and adult frontline workers are ensuring all of their clients are checked in with over email and phone and their needs met. The frontline workers will meet every day to discuss and strategize how we can meet the needs of our community and ensure the most vulnerable are not left behind.
6) Our resource room is now been converted into our crisis centre. All hygiene kits, sleeping bag supplies, baby formula etc... will be moved to this room. Two frontline workers will be in the room from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm to assist any clients that come to to door. All services will be given outside with all proper social distancing and handwashing protocols used.
7) We are creating a listing of all services that are still open with an emphasis on food and essential supplies. This will most likely change daily and staff will be updating it daily. We will also start sending this out through our networks to provide this information to as many people as we can.
8) Cheques for our rental subsidy program will be printed for April and May immediately to ensure their rents are still paid on time.
9) No visitors will be allowed at the Youth transition house and increased cleaning protocols have been instituted.

Due to the COVID-12 pandemic, TYRMC's cultural programs are cancelled from March 14 to April 5th. This includes all Beading and Canning workshops, and the Sugar Bush trip. The March Business meeting will be rescheduled. The Sherbourne office is closed and Métis Nation of Ontario staff is working remotely. Thanks to technology, the majority of MNO's programs and services - including the Healing & Wellness programs - continue to be delivered with minimal disruption. The MNO government is in discussion with both the Federal and Provincial governments regarding funding to support Métis citizens and communities in a wide range of areas.
