January 24 / 6:30-8:30pm / Urban Space Gallery - studio 111 - 401 Richmond St West
PWYC (Suggested Donation $5 to help defray Akin’s costs) / Please RSVP at www.universe.com/grantwriting2
Due to popular demand, we have decided to have TWO grant writing workshops in January! They are the exact same workshop, this is the second session so that we are able to serve the overflow of participants from the first which is happening on January 11.
Join Akin and the Ontario Arts Council to learn how to learn more about how to get grants from the people that give them!
Writing grants is a significant part of many artist's careers- so let's learn how to do it properly! This interactive workshop will explore the process of planning, writing and submitting grant proposals to different governing bodies. As a major funder themselves, the Ontario Arts Council provides clear examples of the grant writing process and the various the dos and don'ts of everything from creating your budget to organizing your support material and work plan. Following this, there will be an extensive Q&A period.
401 Richmond is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know of any other accessibility needs so that we can assist you. Email michael@akincollective.com by January 3, 2018 and we will do our best to accommodate you! Thank you.
Akin Projects would like to thank Urban Space Property Group and 401 Richmond for their kind donation of space to host this event.
