Artist Fee Workshop by CARFAC Ontario - Know your rights, get paid for your art!

November 14, 2016 by Jen Pilles
Click here to register for this free workshop

'Exposure' won't pay your rent or put food in the fridge.

Learn more about your rights as an artist and some of the resources that exist to help you ensure that you are being treated fairly and professionally – i.e. that you are getting paid, and that you and your work are respected. CARFAC Ontario Executive Director Sally Lee will lead a discussion which, depending on questions and issues brought up by those in attendance, could cover a wide range of topics, including artist fees, royalties, copyright, licensing, moral rights, contract negotiation, pricing, donating work and more.

CARFAC ONTARIO & AKIN PROJECTS / FREE ARTIST FEES WORKSHOP: GET PAID! / Committee Room 2, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St.W / November 22, 6:30-8:30pm

about the instructor:
Sally Lee has worked in the local arts community for more than 20 years and joined CARFAC Ontario as Executive Director last summer. She is a TAC Cultural Leaders Lab Fellow, and following years of playing in local punk/indie bands, remains active in the independent music community as a member of the band Long Branch.
