Dear Friends of Akin,

Unfortunately, due to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, Akin has made the decision to halt all programming for the next 3 weeks including the Akin X Collision Gallery Group Exhibition and Launch Party, the Akin Lakeshore group exhibition Driftwork at Cloverdale Common, and the Spring Art Crawl. Collision Gallery, and Remote Gallery will also be closed during this time. Akin's spring programming is currently scheduled to resume on April 6th 2020. Our first concern is the health and safety of our community is our top priority at this time and although the risk in Canada is still relatively low, we should do whatever possible to stop it from spreading.

At this time all Akin studios will remain open to members, although we are strongly encouraging members to refrain from non-essential studio use for at least the next three weeks. We know that things are stressful at the moment, but hope that this pause from normal routines can provide an opportunity to explore new ideas, and engage with your creativity in new ways.
